I was honored to have my piece, " St Mitchell", chosen to be one of the top 15 entries out of 832 submissions. The task was to score music to the picture below, no more than 90 seconds long. Fingerstyle guitar driven with strings and some brass. The picture had me thinking of travel music, with our hero on a dangerous quest. I recorded the guitar in my studio with a Royer ribbon mic. The orchestral sounds are from Spitfire libraries, all done in Pro Tools.
My entry for the Spitifire audio, and HBO Westworld Scoring competition! We were provided a clip of a chase scene from Westworld. The score had been stripped out, but the actors dialog and the SFX were included. This allowed me to create my own score and hear how it would work with the other audio elements. This was very exciting to create! Thank you to Spitfire audio and HBO for this opportunity!

All seems lost as you wander the surface of the moon. You have found a door, but no key. In desperate need of food and shelter you look to the east. An eerie glow emanates in the distance. Perhaps salvation? Or ultimate ruin and destruction. You listen to the haunting melodies as you traverse this lunar landscape.
