One of the highlights of my singing career was getting to work with Charles (Chuck) Valentine. Man, can he play guitar. Whew! As good as he is as a guitar player, he's even better as a person. He is even-tempered, maybe, all the time. He is fair in his treatment of all his mates as a bandleader. If you have ever been in a band where the opposite is true, you know the tremendous value this brings. He makes it easy to create with him, whether we were playing or writing music together. I felt safe bringing my ideas to him, and that my ideas were in good, considerate hands. And I trusted his judgement on whether to use those ideas or not. He is also incredibly fun, open to trying new things, and just a downright delight. And seriously, if you haven't heard this guy play guitar, get ready to be amazed!
